How do I update my mobile number in my Savings Bank Account?


Visit the nearest Axis Bank ATM or an Axis Bank Branch. For the security of your account, the mobile number can be changed only through these 2 channels.

Steps to register/update your mobile number at the ATM

1.     Insert the card and enter PIN number

2.     Select ‘Registrations’

3.     Select ‘Mobile Number Update'

4.     You would see the message ‘Your account number 91xxxxxxxxxxxxx is already registered with Axis Bank. Would you like to update your number now?’ Please select ‘Update’ option

5.     Enter the Mobile Number you want to update

6.     Re-enter the Mobile Number

Kindly submit the request for Mobile Number updation/registration by filling the 'Customer Request Form' at the nearest Axis Bank branch.


 Is it mandatory to update mobile number in the bank records?

No, it is not mandatory for you to update your mobile number with the bank. However, doing so comes with a host of benefits like:

1. SMS alerts (like transactions, KYC updates, mandatory requirements, new products,  offers, etc.) sent to the newly registered mobile number

2. Downloading and using Axis Mobile App for everyday banking requirements
